Steam Nextfest – A Tiny Sticker Tale

THANK GOD Steam Nextfest is back because I was starting to get really annoyed searching through Steam to find a demo. This week is a cute puzzle adventure that reminds me a lot of Carto. This week is A Tiny Sticker Tale.

A Tiny Sticker Tale is an adventure game from Ogre Pixel. The demo is up now for Nextfest, will be released on the PC, and has that good old “coming soon.”

You are on an adventure with your dad who has gone missing but is leaving cryptic notes around a very suspicious island that seems to be part of a sticker book. The aim is to find your dad all the while solving puzzles and helping the people of the island.

Anything and everything is a sticker in A Tiny Sticker Tale. Open your little book and yoink anything and place it inside for as long as you please. Islanders need help and this is the onboarding for the game. A woman wants to see the sunrise, one needs fish for her pond and a miner needs the sun to work. All of these predicaments can be solved by opening your book and placing stickers. It is all very cute, nothing heavy on the mind, just very relaxing.

A Tiny Sticker Tale reminds me a lot of Carto. Each area on the screen is confined to a single area that has various directions to travel in. Each section usually has a significance to your or an NPC’s quest so it is imperative to be sharp.

A Tiny Sticker Tale is a very charming game demo. I like the premise the art style and the cozy gameplay. I hope that some of the puzzles will be thought-provoking because that is what was missing from the demo. That alone doesn’t carry any demerits, just wishful thinking.
