Bioshock Infinite
Bioshock Infinite though, I would love to talk about in-depth.
- The game is absolutely fantastic. I played it three more times before this playthrough and I still love it.
- The combat is the evolution of the previous two games and it shows.
- The arenas in which you fight make for a “play your own way” style and coupled with the plasmids, make for exciting combat literally every time.
- The game looks great. The “Chicago Worlds Fair” Neoclassical look to the game makes every area so different and beautiful. Battleship Bay is TOP TIER.
- In fact, every area looks beautiful. I always have to stop and just take in the beauty.
- The plot is coherent and is fed to the player in short bits and is expanded through the audio logs littered throughout Columbia.
- The action movie set piece cutscenes really add to the over-the-top story.
- The combat is the evolution of the previous two games and it shows.
- I think I like Bioshock Infinite because it has dared to tread ground in some questionable territory (racism and class disparity for instance) and it creates a really fun and eye-opening experience. Every aspect of the game is beautiful in its construction and presentation.
I love BioShock Infinite 10/10
Don’t get it twisted all of the Bioshock games are incredibly fun games. They are most enjoyable when someone who never experienced the games is next to you. My wife really did enjoy both Rapture and Columbia. She especially enjoyed every moment of Bioshock Infinite, not so much anything from Bioshock 2.
The Bioshock Collection really houses some of the best games from their respective times and I implore you to play them again to see how they hold up in the current time.
