I take solace in the fact that I can play games, but it really is nice to sit back and play a game and complete it in one sitting. I don’t have a lot of time and I cannot imagine that many people do. I work eight hours, 5 days a week and I come up with little to no money whatsoever. There are occasions when I want to hang out on my couch and play a comfy game that requires barely anything out of me. A game like Spilled! is perfect for that modern adult.
This week is Spilled!
Spilled! is a little comfy game from Lente. Released on the PC at the end of March, the game costs a measly $6.
All I wanted to do was clean and that is EXACTLY what I got. Get in your little boat and clean up the gross world. Enter each little biome, collect oil and such get money, and buy upgrades. Upgrades come in the form of faster pickups for collecting plastic and oil and larger tanks to hold all the pollution. There are few side objectives to do to rake in more cash to buy upgrades. Things like putting out fires and shooting water on snowbanks.
There are also a bunch of adorable little animals to save too.

Spilled! is a simple, Do-ey game where I am always playing and never waiting around listening to people talk.
Once an area is 100% cleaned then the water will flash a color and I get to move on and clean some more.
Pixel art is still dope and I love how you can see through the water and watch fish, turtles, and other aquatic creatures swim and appreciate the diligent work I was doing.

All of this laid-back, cozy gameplay can only be accompanied by a somber, comforting soundtrack by Prologi.
Spilled! is the perfect couch game. There are times when I do not want to dedicate myself to a long game and would much rather just hang out and play a shorter game, and that is what it offers. Honestly, if this game was longer, I would probably like it just as much, but, alas, it is only an hour long. Spilled! is simple, and it flourishes because of that. It does the cozy thing perfectly, and I have absolutely no gripes with it whatsoever.
